有人驾驶被盗汽车在南岸撞死一名行人，独立调查局BEI正在寻找目击者。
据报，周六（25日）下午18点之前，Longueuil警方接到了一宗汽车被盗的报案电话。
大约半小时后，一辆巡逻警车在Taschereau Boulevard和Saint-Charles Road拐角处发现并开始跟踪被盗车辆。
大约5分钟后，被盗车辆撞倒一名男性行人。该男子在被送往医院后，不治身亡。被盗车辆逃逸。
巡逻警车上的警员事后报告说，被盗车辆在被他们跟踪后很快就甩掉了他们，他们没有看到行人被撞的场景。
目前，专门调查“警方干预行动导致平民死亡事件”的独立调查局BEI正在寻找目击者，以及任何可能拥有相关事件录像的人。知情者可以通过BEI网站联系调查人员。
