另有美国媒体称，“本次黑客攻击行动可能是一家名为Lockbit的组织所为，该组织有俄罗斯背景，上周刚刚攻击了波音公司，今年一月攻击过英国皇家邮政等企业。”
“该黑客组织还攻击过日本最大海港的港务局、美国加州财政部和一家加拿大儿童医院等。”
美国网络安全和基础设施安全局指出，“这个黑客组织惯于使用恶意勒索软件——对受害者电脑上的文件进行加密或偷窃，然后要求支付解锁文件的费用。”
